Now, save the file (test.txt on your desktop is fine). Close notepad. Now reopen the file with notepad.
This is from a flaw with IsTextUnicode, a function that is supposed to… well, it’s pretty self-explanatory (provided you know what unicode is). I believe the bug (or rather, shortcoming) has been around since Win NT/2000. Microsoft is never in a hurry to fix anything though, just look at IE6…….. and, yeah, I completely made up the title just to sound catchy. But wait, there’s more!
