Scorched 3D: A free game
Published July 27th, 2006 in Games, Links, SoftwareFree is generally good. I’d say, “always a good thing,” but then someone would probably tell me how a “free” game of Roshambo is rather not good. Anyway, Scorched 3D is a multi-platform, free game. If you’ve ever played the original Scorched Earth, Tank Wars, Worms, Artillery Duel, or any of the other countless aim, adjust power, and shoot games, imagine that but 3D.
I haven’t been into games much for quite a while, but, for those who are, this looks like one worth checking out. There is an apocalypse mod in which all players fire at the same time. It makes for some pretty wild carnage (especially when multiple players have nuclear weapons). It looks like the game should be fairly expandable, so hopefully the future will bring more mods and other interesting tweaks.
