Previously, I diverged from the point of a post to talk about the webpages for the Democratic and Republican parties. I thought I would revisit that thought, adding the Libertarian party and (I’m trying not to laugh here) the Communist party. The basis of judgement was the W3 Markup Validation Service, which tells how correctly formed the markup language of a website is, and the Silktide Sitescore, a service which checks the pages (and a few of the links) for many items. I did not include the Silktide visitor scores or my own personal opinions, because I wanted this to be based on a computer’s interpretation of the sites.

Note: The Communist site sucked so much that Silktide could not produce valid scores after 12 attempts. Seriously, I’m not making that up! Due to that problem, they are not considered in the comparison for best or worst of any of those categories.

I’m not suggesting that anyone base their political choices on these tests (after all, these tests merely show which parties pay attention to detail, and that’s not important in politics, right?), but I do find it humorous that the parties that are closer to my beliefs score better than the ones that are farther from them.
