…but the “baby” comes out not so well.

In 1999 a thirty-six-year-old man had to be rushed to the hospital in Nagpur, India. He had a large belly all his life and had been constantly ridiculed. The doctors thought it was a tumor and began to operate right away.

When they cut into his massive belly, they were rather surprised to find a half-formed creature! It was a result of “fetus in fetu,” and extremely rare occurance where a fetus is trapped inside its twin and lives as a parasite until it threatens the life of its host. I can’t imagine the doctors’ shock when they saw this thing come out! Read about it at ABC News.

I guess if a man can survive pregnancy for 36 years with no special treatment and then give birth with the aid of completely unknowing doctors, the common female claim that “men couldn’t handle being pregnant” and “men couldn’t handle giving birth” seems a little silly, doesn’t it?
