Windows generally sucks at guessing how long it will take to move a file, but today I was extracting the files in a .GZ and OSX told me I would be waiting over 2 billion hours. Fortunately, it was apparently confusing “billion hours” with “seconds” so all is well.

According to Guardian Unlimited, NASA has “misplaced” the recordings of the moon landing. The tapes are of a much higher quality than what was broadcast on TV those decades ago and NASA appears confident that the recordings are around somewhere… At least it isn’t another batch of VA records that was misplaced… this time…
