Generally the speeches given by those accepting an honorary doctorate are better than the rest of the dull ceremony. Often the speakers are fairly humorous and motivational. I just wish I could have been there to watch Jon Stewart’s speech during the 2004 graduation at The College of William and Mary.

Thank you Mr. President, I had forgotten how crushingly dull these ceremonies are. Thank you.
