Tomorrow night is the “Drawing Jam” at Western. There will be paper all over the walls of one of the galleries, so anyone can come and draw. I’ll probably do a portrait, so I figured I ought to get a quick practice one in. I don’t want to rely on any reference materials, and I don’t want to carry more than a few pencils, so I tried that out tonight. She’s far from perfect, but she turned out pretty well, considering that I was very close to giving up on several occasions. I just couldn’t stay focused tonight; I really hope I am more with it tomorrow night.
The title comes from it being a female face drawn during February. Nothing really stands out about this drawing to warrant a special name in my eyes.
