Sketch Book 33: Male Back

Rough sketch of a male back

Sorry, after a bit of time since the last entry in my sketch book, this isn’t exactly an exciting return. I previously did a sketch of a male torso from the front, so I thought I’d do one from behind. I played around with the arm position a little to create a more features on the back. I definitely find drawing the front of a torso more interesting, and it probably shows, but I only spent 15-20 minutes on this one.

I used just a 2B pencil for the entire thing and no purposeful blending (I always end up causing some blending/smearing from not paying attention to where I rest my hand). I just barely used the eraser, so this was really a rough sketch; however, if you look closely, you can see a preview of the next entry….
