I started working on this one in July and then I put it off for a few weeks before finishing it in mid-August (yeah, I’m slow at getting it uploaded). I did all but the last 20 minutes on the bus, so there isn’t a whole lot of detail to the drawing, but I had fun roughing out the rocks, and drawing the scales was almost meditative.

The drawing is mediocre at best. The head is terrible, especially the lips. I did a fair job on some of the shading, especially with the rocks. The shading around the legs of the dragon is decent. I didn’t do a very good job of giving the dragon depth, particularly around the top of the back and the bottom of the stomach. Oh well, there’s always room for improvement….
