What is a dictator? According to an online dictionary: a person exercising absolute power, esp. a ruler who has absolute, unrestricted control in a government without hereditary succession. That’s a fairly soft definition (what is absolute power?), so maybe we should analyze the character traits that are most common in dictators.

I think the big problem that a lot of people have with gay marriage is that it goes against their religious beliefs. I’m not sure why people tie that with the secular process of having a marriage recognized by the federal government, but that’s my only guess at why there is so much resistance. [...]

It looks like the majority of the United States thinks minimum wage is too low, gay marriage is bad, marijuana is bad, and parental notification is bad.

I suppose I ought to do the obligatory “I’m trying to pretend I am just saying my views on the voting issues but really I am implanting subliminal messages into your brain so that you will vote the way I did” post. Here we go, measures first and then people:

Rush Limbaugh more-or-less accused Michael J. Fox of faking his Parkinson’s Disease for political gain. I wonder if MJF “faking” is worse than falsely accusing someone of faking a disease for your own political gain?
